About this Event
Even during cold weather months, we are fortunate to have locally-grown ingredients available in the High Country. For this hands-on cooking class, we’ll procure ingredients from the High Country Food Hub and prepare some winter favorites. You’ll practice handling winter squash, braising and creating salads with winter greens and cooking a beef and/or mushroom-based entrée. Led by Margie Mansure, Dietitian/Chef and Watauga Extension Agent.
