It’s Stir Up Sunday, the day to get your Christmas Puddings and Mincemeat started. Ohhhhh bring us a figgy pudding!
Whip up your very own pudding for the festive season in the Parkwood kitchen. Guided through the process by the Parkwood Curator, and culinary historian, learn why the popular British Commonwealth Christmas dessert has been captured in the imaginations from Victorian Christmas to today! Christmas pudding would have graced the Parkwood dining room table, and continues to be a part of our interpretive story today.
Participants will leave with their prepared pudding, ready to steam at home, and save for the big day! The Parkwood pudding will be prepared alcohol free, with instructions on how to add liquor to your pudding at home.
Participants must be aged 12+. Chaperones must purchase a workshop spot to attend. Please alert Parkwood to allergies at time of booking. The Parkwood facility is not a nut free kitchen.
