Welcome to Joyfull Greens – Cooking for Carers!
Take time for yourself and join our friendly cooking session designed especially for unpaid carers in Surrey.
Discover the joy of cooking in a relaxed, social, and mindful environment. In this session, we’ll explore Domoda — the national dish of The Gambia — a rich and comforting peanut stew made with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and warming spices.
No experience needed, and all ingredients are provided!
Who is this for?
Unpaid carers living in Surrey who would benefit from a friendly, supportive cooking session, focused on easy, affordable, healthy & nutritious meals.
What to expect?

- Bring containers to take home leftovers

Timing
- 11:00 AM – Cooking begins
- 12:30 PM – Shared meal
- 1:00 PM – Clean-up
- 1:30 PM – Finish

Cancellations & Refunds:
We require at least 7 days’ notice for cancellations, refunds, or transfers. If you’re unwell within 7 days of the class, you’re welcome to gift your ticket to someone else. As a not-for-profit, all proceeds help subsidise our free community classes — thank you for your support!

We cannot guarantee that any food or drink prepared or consumed in our classes is free from the 14 major allergens. Even when allergens are not used, cross-contact may occur. Participants attend at their own risk.

This class is funded by Waverley Borough Council. Places are limited to 12 and must be booked in advance. Please only attend if you’ve received a confirmation email.
