About this Event
About the class...
Pre-paid tickets are required...we do not allow walk-ins and are not open to the public.
Space is limited. Generally 8-10 per class.
Bake classes are hands-on and super kid-friendly.
We will walk you through all the steps. Please wear clothes you won't mind getting a little dirty. The class lasts about 3+ hrs and we start on time. There is lots of time for socializing and learning as there are many natural breaks.
Please remain vigilant around baking equipment. We want to keep everyone safe.
This is a learning place, so don't hesitate to ask lots of questions.
Note: Covid, RSV, and the flu are still around. If you think you are sick, please do not come! We offer a 24-hour in advance full refund. Let's keep everyone safe.
Note: Purchasers are automatically added to our email subscription. We send 2-3 emails a month and we do not share our email information.
About what we are baking...
Lebkuchen (Gingerbread) Hearts-- This is a traditional recipe used to make the famous Gingerbread Hearts at the Oktoberfest, but they also make great hearts for Valentine's Day, too.
We provide the dough, learning, and lots of different decorations, you provide the creativity. A wooden presentation box is available so you to take your final hearts home to give that special someone(s).
Snacks during class / Take home items...
Snacks during the class are available and can be purchased as add-on items to your ticket. All of our snack items are made in-house in a food-handling-certified kitchen.
Beer samples: These are available during the class at no cost and we will also discuss beer pairings with food.
Our Store: In addition to the items listed as add-ons, we operate a small online store. We offer discounts on classes, sundries, and other items available for pickup during our classes: www.dahoam1516.com/shop
Note:
- We do not allow outside food or alcohol due to sanitation considerations. If you have a concern, please get in touch with us and we will discuss accommodations.
- We do not sell nor allow our beers offsite, but we "sample" very liberally.
- We require positive age verification (21+) for anyone sampling the beers.
- You may attend the class but cannot drink if you are under 21. We offer many non-alcoholic options.
Special Pricing...
If You Have A Pre-Paid Voucher...
If you pre-purchased a class voucher, you can use it for this class, if terms apply.
Please make a normal ticket purchase including add-ons to secure your seat. In the comments of this order, please enter: the voucher order number, your last name, and your email. We will then refund the order for this class in the amount covered by the pre-paid voucher...this takes 48-72 hours.
What about for kids...
We love when kids come and learn. We do not have an age restriction, except for consuming alcohol. We are very family friendly!! <18 require an adult guardian.
Note: This class is super kid-friendly. Great time to get "messy" with cookies.
If the child is "lap-sized" (2-5), they learn for free. This assumes they are sharing the seat with their parent.
If the child is "my own seat-sized" (5-18), we offer a discount on their admission.
Since this assumes they have their own seat, please make a normal ticket purchase including add-ons to secure their seat. In the comments of this order, please enter: this is for a kid, provide age, any special requirements. We will then refund the ticket for this class in the amount of 30%...this takes 48-72 hours.
Note: For kids under 14, you might want to bring some toys or other activities in case they need to change their focus. We do offer kids tours of our gardens during classes when weather permits.
