About the Workshop

Step behind the lens with award-winning cinematographer Michael Jari Davidson for a hands-on, in-depth exploration of the world-famous Cooke lenses. Known for their warm rendering, distinctive “Cooke Look” and cinematic character, these lenses have shaped the look of countless films and TV shows.


Michael, whose work spans gripping horror, dark drama, thriller and sci-fi, will share how Cooke glass influences storytelling, mood and texture. Drawing from his extensive credits including I Will Bury You, Den Mother Crimson, The Last Halloween, and festival favourites Heir and Familiar, Michael will break down real-world scenarios and techniques that bring scripts to life through lens choice.
