Interested in becoming a food writer and cookbook author? Learn about our journeys from idea, book sample, pitching, book deals and more!
About this Event

Join Jocelyn Ramirez, author of La Vida Verde: Plant-Based Mexican Food with Authentic Flavor, and Karla Tatiana Vasquez, food writer and cookbook author of The SalviSoul Cookbook for a conversation on the process of becoming a published cookbook author and food writer.

Learn about their journeys from idea, book sample, pitching, book deals, recipe development, storytelling, marketing and tours. We'll take a deep dive into their passion for storytelling through culturally-relevant food at the heart of each of their communities.

There will be two signature cocktails to celebrate each cookbook. One made with Salvadoran Rum and one made with Mexican Mezcal. Proceeds from each sale will be donated to Hunger Action LA, an organization dedicated to ensuring food security for vulnerable populations in the Los Angeles community.
