About this Event
Welcome to the Convivo Series - Verdi's Aida!
Join us for an evening of music and love in the month of February as Conductor Sabatino Vacca gives us a preview of the Sothern Ontario Lyric Opera’s March performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida.
At its heart, Aida is a tragic love triangle set in a time of conflict. The Egyptian soldier, Radames, has secretly fallen in love with Aida, an Ethiopian prisoner of war. Aida, the Princess of Ethiopia, has kept her royal identity a secret, as well as the fact that she is in love with Radames.
Experience a captivating preview of Aida as the Maestro unveils the opera’s dramatic storyline, highlights its iconic arias, and explores Verdi’s unmistakable style. The evening includes a special live performance by a featured cast member, offering an inspiring glimpse into the upcoming production.
Attendees will receive a voucher for $10 off tickets to the performance at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on Saturday March 7th at 7:30 p.m.
