Join Curator of Historic Textiles Virginia Theerman and Curator of History Chad Stewart for a talk on the upcoming permanent gallery expansion in Fall of 2024. The talk will use two objects from the collection -- a "Red Shirt" and a knife both used at the Hamburg Massacre -- as a case study for exploring the opportunities and challenges of creating a new permanent exhibition space.Conversations with a Curator allows visitors a chance to have an in-depth look at an object or exhibit in the Museum galleries, ask questions and spark conversations. The Charleston Museum’s collections are both extraordinary and diverse and each Curator-led talk and tour allows participants to immerse themselves in a different aspect of Charleston’s rich history.
All Conversations with a Curator programs are open to the public and FREE for Members and FREE with admission.
