Thursday 25th of April 6.30 pm (18h30) @Centre Sociétaire et Sportif Gare : 29, rue de Strasbourg L-1839 LuxembourgThis Huni Kuin family is coming from Brazil to teach about their indigenous culture and traditional practices, sharing their value of their communication with the natural spirit world as well as talking about the current situation of the Amazon and its people and natural inhabitants.
They have faced significant challenges and threats to their way of life. They have also been affected by environmental degradation, including deforestation and pollution.
Despite these challenges, the Huni Kuin tribe continues to fight for their rights and way of life. They have formed alliances with other indigenous groups and organizations and have worked to preserve their traditional practices and protect their lands.
Join us for a conversation with them hosted by Rocio Meza, cultural officer at ASTM – Action Solidarité Tiers Monde asbl.
To finish off we get to enjoy a concert by Txanas (musicians) Meka and Muru.
The translation in English is provided by Samira, her companion who has supported Huni Kuin for many years and is closely connected to their culture and spirituality.
