Conversation group: Looking for a job when you don't speak Dutch (yet)

Are you looking for a job in Flanders or Brussels? Can't speak Dutch (yet or enough)? We know that can be a frustrating experience when looking for a jobseeker. In this conversation group we will share in a small group of jobseekers experiences about searching and finding a job in Belgium as a non-native speaker. Can you find jobs in English or do you really have to learn Dutch? Where can you learn Dutch or when can you find support to learn it? All these topics and more can be discussed.

We are also interested in hearing your experiences and questions. Get inspired by others who are on a similar journey. We're looking forward to get to know you!

The Co-Searching team

• If you register for this activity we expect you to be there. We put in a lot of effort organizing and preparing this activity.
• Every time a participant does not show up we have an empty chair at our table that could have been filled by somebody else who wanted to be there. So don't forget to delete your participation if you can't make it or contact Annelies at [email protected]
• We only send tips or reports to participants who show up.

• This activity is open for all jobseekers who want to learn and discuss: active jobseekers, people on sickleave, working people who want a career change, students etc...You are welcome regardless of your age, sector, gender, education level, etc.
• This workshop requires enough knowledge of English to be able to participate in a conversation.
• Are you a coach, recruiter or other professional active in the labour market? Would you like to get to know us or work together? !

• Co-Searching is a non-profit organization that organises free and interactive workshops and conversation groups for jobseekers. We exchange experiences, share tips and tricks, give each other direct feedback. Co-Searching is a network of jobseekers that want to help and inspire each other in the search for a job.

• Workshops and conversation groups are prepared and guided by Co-Searching volunteers. Our volunteers are jobseekers or working.
