About this Event
This January our conversations no longer circle nothingness as an abstract void; instead, they confront lovelessness as a lived condition. Lovelessness is not the absence of feeling, but the residue of survival in a world that has taught us to endure without tenderness. Inspired by bell hooks’ insistence on Black love and Black self-care, these dialogues become acts of repair. We speak to the ways love was withheld, distorted, or postponed, and how that absence shaped our relationships with ourselves and each other. In naming lovelessness, we resist it. In conversation, we begin the work of remembering love as a practice—intentional, radical, and necessary for Black liberation and wholeness.
