About this Event
This half day workshop addresses the OSHA Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) standard, related best practices, and the importance of energy control programs. Topics include elements of an effective Lockout/Tagout Program, the different types of energy, why hazardous energy can cause injuries, and how lockout/tagout protects employees from significant injury. Participants will learn how to properly use lockout and tagout strategies in order to safely perform equipment servicing and maintenance, and prevent injuries caused by the accidental starting or activation of the equipment. This training is a must for anyone who is responsible for the service, maintenance, or repair of equipment and machinery.
Who Should Attend: Employees from Department of Public Works, Building and Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Water, Wastewater, Parks and Recreation, or any other employees who are responsible for performing service and maintenance on equipment, or any supervisor responsible for such employees.

- Available to Members of The Trust's Property/Liability and/or Workers' Compensation Programs.
- Advance registration is required.
- Registration is limited to 4 employees per Member. If you have additional employees you would like added to our wait list, please let us know.
- Registration Deadline is Monday, December 1, 2025.
- There will be a $50 "No Show" fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training.
