If you’re in or around Portland, ME in July stop in Richard Boyd Art Gallery to see an exhibit of original works of visual art offering a study in contrasting styles from impressionism to realism.

Contrasts a group exhibit of visual art includes works created by artists’ with diverse backgrounds whose range of styles, choice of mediums, and color palette give them distinction in the visual arts community. The exhibit is comprised of a selection of original paintings and drawings by artists’ Deena S. Ball – watercolor and mixed media; Heather Newton Brown – mixed media encaustic; Patricia Chandler – oil and cold wax medium, and graphite; Carrin Culotta – oil; Kristin Horton – oil, and acrylic; Jen Pagnini – oil, and mixed media; and HM Saffer II – gouache, and oil.

If you like a specific style of painting like pointillism, abstracts, or traditional realism you’ll see a painting or drawing in the exhibit that brings you in for a closer look. Open free charge from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from July 1st through July 30th, 2022.
