The event will focus on providing information regarding SB, DBE, and DVBE eligibility requirements, the application process and required supplemental documents, expectations to remain in good standing, and the benefits of being a certified firm.
Opportunites provided to the following business types:
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) is defined as a small business that is owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) is defined Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) is defined as must be a veteran of the U.S. military, naval, or air service, must have a service-connected disability of at least 10% or more, and must reside in California. The veteran must also own at least 51% of the business, manage and control daily business operations, and have the home office located in the U.S.
Small Business (SB) is define as an Independent business owner, with headquarters in California; owner lives in California; either has 100 or fewer employees or averages annually $18 million or LESS
Micro Business is defined as an Independent business owner, with headquarters in California; owner lives in California; either has 25 or fewer employees or averages annually $6 million or less.
