About this Event
Join Ultra Mundane Gallery for the unveiling of its opening exhibition, CONTINUUM , by Marius Wiget, on Saturday, October 11.
Utra Mundane Gallery presents CONTINUUM — a solo exhibition by Swiss artist Marius Wiget. This body of work explores the space between realism and abstraction as a continuum. In his paintings, Wiget layers color, form, and collage with tangible elements, creating works that feel both familiar and new.
By anchoring abstraction with signifiers of the real, Wiget creates work that resists categorization, mirroring his belief that art is not reserved for a certain cohort, but open to all who are curious enough to look.

About the Artist
Marius Wiget is a contemporary mixed-media artist from St. Gallen, Switzerland. He studied at Vorkurs before moving to New York City, where he earned a Fine Arts Certificate in Painting from the Art Students League. With a background in street art and graphic design, and inspiration drawn from Renaissance masters such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, Wiget creates work at the intersection of realism and abstraction. His paintings and collages are rooted in form, color, and texture, yet grounded with tangible elements that offer viewers a way into the work.
Wiget’s goal is simple: to make art accessible. As he explains, “No matter how much I may dislike a color, I don’t have a least favorite—because when it’s paired with another, it will always just work.” This philosophy of contextual harmony runs through his practice, inviting audiences to see abstraction as a spectrum rather than a barrier.
✨ Don’t miss the launch of Ultra Mundane Gallery and Marius Wiget’s CONTINUUM. Mark your calendars and experience an evening of culture, curiosity, and connection.
