You can sing - now let’s open a bigger vocal skills toolbox!
About this Event

You can sing - now let’s open a bigger vocal skills toolbox!

In this workshop, we’ll go deeper on technical topics of vocal performance. We’ll help you understand mic technique and how to use it (and not overdo it); explore precise style differences across major contemporary genres; and experiment with different stylistic elements to give you a wider palette to paint with.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Mic technique - what is it, and how important is it?
  • Style differences across contemporary genres
  • Exploring dynamics, onsets, note endings, and textures to deliver a powerful performance

What You’ll Need:

  • A song you may want to workshop in front of the group and a way to perform it, such as a backing track or instrument you can play

This workshop is interactive. Come ready to perform a song, whether it’s to a track or self-accompanied! (We will not have time to work with all participants.)

About the Instructors:

Adrienne Osborn is a voice and performance coach at Performance High Voice and Music Studio.  She believes in building a large vocal skills toolbox. Once singers can use their voices without thinking about technique, they can use it to express themselves artistically and honestly.

Adrienne is the founder and owner of Performance High Voice and Music Studio, a vocalist-focused music school for teens and adults, with locations in Broomfield and RiNo. She was previously trained and certified as a Live Music Method coach through Tom Jackson Productions in Nashville and is a Mentor Teacher for the International Voice Teachers of Mix.
