About this Event

Join our distinguished panel of national experts and key thought leaders who will provide comprehensive insights into the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of systemic vasculitis. Participants will learn about updates in systemic vasculitis from disease pathogenesis to diagnostic approaches to novel therapeutics. Interactive sessions will offer opportunities to discuss challenging vasculitis cases with the experts and peers.

Target Audience | This activity is targeted to rheumatologists, residents, and fellows.

Learning Objectives | HSS continuing medical education activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss the role of biologic therapy in the management of giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica and understand the emerging role of large vessel imaging in these diseases.
  • Define the key immunologic mechanisms in Behcet’s Disease and recognize how these mechanisms drive disease phenotypes and therapeutic options.
  • Identify the evolving treatment landscape in the ANCA associated vasculitides and discuss data behind strategies aiming to limit corticosteroid exposure in management of granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis.
