☽ About the Poets ☽
Ryōkan (1758–1831)
A Japanese Zen monk and hermit, Ryōkan lived a life of simplicity in the mountains. His poems are playful, humble, and deeply intimate with nature, reminding us of the beauty in ordinary moments.
Rumi (1207–1273)
A Persian mystic and poet, Rumi’s verses overflow with longing, love, and devotion to the divine. His words continue to resonate across cultures, speaking to the universal human search for meaning and unity.
