Contact Improvisation Dance involves the exploration of one's body in relationship to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness.
In this class we will guide you through techniques and possibilities of the dance form.
It is open for anyone who likes to dance and freely experiment with their body and movement possibilities.
More about the sessions:
We start with a beginning circle. Any guidance given in the class is a suggestion. You can listen to what you need in any moment and create the experience you like. The sessions usually follows this pattern:
- meditation
- awareness of emotional and physical safety
- free movement to music
- group and trust building
- techniques of the dance
- free jam (dance together or alone)
- relaxation
- closing circle (you can share about your experience and feelings)
What to expect:
Everyone is welcome. No prior knowledge necessary.
We are around 10-20 people with a wide age span. Me the facilitator, I am genderqueer.
Price: Free.
Agreements that you follow when you come:
- Have the intention to dance and witness dance
- Listen and respect yourself and others
- Be sober, not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
The success and safety of the space depends on you agreeing to the rules. If you fail so, you may be asked to leave.

Accessibility: The hall is on level ground and a has a 1cm doorstep. A toilet is attached to the hall. There are no stairs.
