About this Event
Contact Improvisation is a dynamic form of dance that focuses on the physical interaction between partners, exploring shared weight, momentum, and communication through touch. It invites participants to engage with their bodies and each other in a spontaneous and intuitive way, fostering an improvisational practice that emphasizes trust, responsiveness, and creativity in movement.
This Workshop is perfect for dancers who’ve been to a few jams or has been dancing for a while. We’ll focus on weight sharing, momentum and basic lifts. Experience the joy of falling safely and abandoning it all to the flow of the dance.
We will develop our fundamental skills of exploring movement, connection, and creativity with our bodies.
Learn how to listen and respond to your body and others in a safe and supportive environment. No need to worry about getting everything perfect - just come as you are and enjoy the process!
