About this Event
This one-day, hands-on course is designed for Consultants navigating the rapid impact of Generative AI on consulting work.
The morning focuses on practical prompting skills - moving from basic interaction to structured, repeatable approaches. Over lunch, we shift into a facilitated, peer-level discussion on how GenAI is reshaping consulting delivery models, economics, and career paths.
The afternoon then grounds those insights in practice, walking through the full consulting lifecycle and showing where and how GenAI can responsibly augment real client engagements.
This is not a tool demo or hype session. It is a practitioner-led working day focused on capability, judgement, and execution.
Morning - Prompting as a Consulting Skill
Session 1: Beginner Prompting – How to Talk to a GenAI
Goal: Build comfort, confidence, and practical fluency
- Why GenAI behaves differently from traditional software
- How consultants should think about “talking” to a model
- Prompt design fundamentals (intent, context, constraints)
- Hands-on prompting exercises
- Getting started with small, low-risk internal projects
- Common concerns: accuracy, over-reliance, confidentiality
Outcome: Participants can use GenAI productively, safely and confidently.
Session 2: Intermediate Prompting – From Asker to Architect
Goal: Shift from ad-hoc use to deliberate design
- The role of risk, friction, and judgement in professional use
- Prompt management: preserving, versioning, and capturing IP
- Prompt patterns for complex, multi-step tasks
- Using GenAI to explore and improve business processes
Outcome: Participants begin treating prompts as professional assets, not throwaway interactions.

Afternoon Session: Consulting Process with GenAI
Goal: To show how Generative AI can be responsibly embedded across the full consulting lifecycle to improve quality, speed, and consistency of delivery.
- RFP and Pre-Engagement
Using GenAI to support RFP preperation, client research, and SoW drafting while maintaining scope discipline and professional credibility. - Engagement Entry and Onboarding
Applying GenAI to synthesize onboarding materials, review contracts, and surface risks and assumptions early in the engagement. - Diagnosis and Analysis
Enhancing consulting analysis through AI-assisted SWOT(and PEST), thematic analysis without replacing consultant judgement. - Action Planning and Recommendations
Using GenAI to draft reports and presentations that clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and executive-ready narratives. - Implementation Planning
Generating practical implementation plans and roadmaps while exploring sequencing, dependencies, and alternative scenarios. - Exit, Handover, and Knowledge Capture
Closing engagements with clear summary reporting, presentations and AI-supported knowledge handover using Custom GPTs or Copilot Agents.
Outcome: Participants leave with a practical, end-to-end mental model and reusable techniques for applying GenAI in real consulting engagements.
1:1 Follow-Up Session (Included)
Each participant is offered a 30-minute one-on-one follow-up call after the course to help support adopting the day’s learning into their own consulting practice.
