Join our rangers for a family-friendly stroll as we explore the night skies during our Constellation Hike! Utilizing the free SkyGuide, Stellarium, or Sky Safari Apps, we'll take in the sparkling constellations above, while listening to the tales and legends associated with them.
We’ll be hiking an easy, 1.6-mile roundtrip section of the Juniper Riverside Trail, perfect for all ages. Make sure to download the SkyGuide, Stellarium, or Sky Safari Apps ahead of time so you can fully enjoy the celestial wonders around us!

Things You Should Know:
Meet: Dirt parking lot just south of Juniper Campground (please note, it is a 20 min drive from the park entrance to this location)
Download: The free SkyGuide, Stellarium, or Sky Safari Apps before the hike. (these apps do work without cell service)
Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, plenty of water, and weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing.
Cost: Free with park admission. Admission is waived with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before the event).
