The diocese's History Committee presents “Constancy and Change." Many of our historic parishes have seen the health and population of the neighborhood change dramatically. How do our parishes continue to steward their properties and serve their community in these changing settings for ministry?” The forum will explore how parishes have weathered changes in their neighborhoods and communities as they meet the challenges of stewarding their historic buildings and property. These topics are relevant to many parishes in this diocese as we discern how our history relates to place, how it relates to the resources we have for ministry, and how we steward both our properties and assets for ministry.
This year’s forum speakers are Kevin Block, Director of Special Initiatives, Partners for Sacred Places; the Rev. Dr. Kyle Babin, Rector of the Church of The Good Shepherd, Rosemont; and a panel discussion with members of the history committees of Gloria Dei, Philadelphia, and St. David’s, Radnor, two of the oldest parishes in this diocese.
