About this Event

Conservation Volunteers - Scything and Meadow Creation

Come join us for a day of hands-on conservation work at Pilrig Park, in partnership and ongoing management of the City of Edinburgh's Thriving Greenspaces project; green spaces better for nature, better for people. We'll be introducing volunteers to Austrian Scythes, how to set up and use in traditional meadow management and going through a range of Wildflower sowing/ meadow creation techniques along with ongoing managment.

No experience necessary - just a willingness to get stuck in and your hands dirty. It's a great way to connect with nature, meet like-minded people, and make a positive impact on the environment. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference in your community!

Location: What3words ///gangs.intend.before

Time: 10:00 - 14:00 Volunteers aren't required for to commit to the whole day, just let the organiser know.

Tools and training: All equipment and training will be provided at the start of each session.
