This will be a short introductory talk on conservation detection dogs with a demonstration from one of the operational detection dogs. Then you’ll put your handling to the test by handling an operational/trainee detection dog. Then you will have ago harnessing your own dog’s inner search dog with some foundation search games (food or toy). Or more advanced searches with more experienced dogs on odour.

You don’t need any previous experience to attend.
Dogs will learn to search for their favourite toy or treats if complete beginner.
10am to 2pm
Dogs are worked individually and will wait in the car for their turn.
You and your dog will NOT be qualified as a detection dog team from attending this workshop. This is an information day for people interested in the field.
