Volunteers will get a hands on experience with this shoreline and oyster bed restoration technique and help in our efforts to protect and restore the Indian River Lagoon.
Activities in this workshop (POSH units) include shoveling oyster shell, rinsing buckets of shell, portioning out cement, and assisting with pouring the mixture into a mold.
Volunteers should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, and bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Masks and eye protection are required (some particle masks are available but please bring your own if you can). Gloves will be provided.
This is open to participants 16+. Participants under 18 need to be accompanied by a guardian.
