About this Event
What if we could bury our loved ones so that their bodies could nourish the earth? What if land set aside for a cemetery could also be a place of diverse, flourishing life? Conservation Burial is a growing movement that answers these desires with a simple solution: natural burials that conserve wild landscapes. Mourning Cloak Conservation Burial (mourningcloakburial.org) is a new organization dedicated to facilitating the creation of Arkansas's first conservation burial ground. Join us at Lake Nixon Outdoor Center on All Souls Day, November 2nd at 4 p.m. for a film screening and conversation about conservation burial. If weather permits, we'll close with time around a fire and s'mores. The event is free, but we request RSVPs via Eventbrite to ensure we plan for the right number of people.
