"ConSentido" means "Playing with meaning" or playing with common sense. Mauricio tries to show who he is and the multiculturalism of his music background through this title. The purpose of this show for Mauricio is to bring to his community his global baggage, while representing his Mexican roots. Fusing traditional Latin American tunes and melodies with genres like Flamenco, Afro-Cuban, funk, rumba, reggae, huapango, rap, bossa, bolero and opera. Mauricio's main purpose is to keep creating bridges between countries, cultures, languages and traditions through the music and its fusion.
This year ConSentido Project is excited to be back at Joe's Café for the 2nd time, having the opportunity to bring another special 'Day of the Dead' performance for its community in St. Louis on a Saturday, November 2nd.
