Consent in Action: Cultivating Embodied Boundaries

This intimate workshop will support you in finding and expressing both your 'Yes' and your 'No'
✨✨✨
What are embodied boundaries anyway?
When we lose touch with our bodies, we are out of touch with our physical experience and our felt sense. This loss of connection can make it challenging to know what we want and what we don’t. We can lose access to our desires and our boundaries ....
We might armour ourselves and block intimacy or shy away from our vulnerability.
We might find ourselves working hard to please others more
than ourselves or allowing behaviour from others that feels depleting or overrides our needs.
We might find ourselves saying 'Yes' when we want to say 'No' or, 'No' when we want to say 'YES'.
Becoming embodied in our boundaries lets us feel what we need and want and express it - powerfully and with conviction.
We can be both open and protected, both vulnerable and empowered.
✨✨✨
We’d love for you to join us for this workshop to support you in:
• Finding and honouring your boundaries
• Understanding verbal and non-verbal consent
• Exploring models of consent and applying them in different social contexts
• Communicating with others to build trust, confidence and enjoyment

This workshop will invite connection with yourself and others through individual and group processes - if you're unsure about your ability to navigate these in a group environment, let's chat before you purchase your ticket. A partnered practice that involves touch to hands and forearms is offered as part of this workshop.

Meet your hosts:
Jil is a therapist and body wisdom guide, weaving brave spaces for the exploration of pleasure, connection, and intimacy.
Through a mix of somatic psychology, process work, embodied counselling and tantric practices, she supports people to feel more ease, safety, aliveness, and fulfilment in their bodies and their lives.
As a mother and lover, with a deep love for ritual and ceremony, Jil brings her own lived experience to dance between the scientific and the spiritual, across life, work, and play.
Rachel's been on a long journey of learning how to find her voice. Through a very public journey of workplace sexual harassment she felt she had no voice for many years. Along her healing journey Rachel's done a lot of training in Conscious Communication (NVC) and mediation. She brings the tools she's learnt to empower us to understand ourselves and communicate in a way that builds authentic connection.
