About this Event
Choosing Relationship Structures that Work for You
Most of us grow up with a limited idea of relationship structures and choices. Monogamy has been the one and only option for a large majority of people, but there’s so much more available to us. In this session, we’ll chat about consensual non-monogamy (CNM) and the variety of structures available to us. We’ll look at how to access them, how to do so within an ethical framework that you co-create with partners, and how to grow our communication style to support our desires.
Speaker's Bio:
Joining us from Polyamorous Living in Toronto, Eva Dusome is an equity advocate who supports concepts surrounding restorative justice and mediation in complex situations. Their education platform, professionally and community based, focuses on decolonizing relationships through amory-focused non-monogamy, awareness of gender diversity, sexual freedom of expression, essential mental health support, access to basic self-care routines, (dis)ability and accommodation supports, all with a trauma-informed, intersectional lens. She actively challenges the current dominant paradigm of westernized society by offering perspectives that are described as rare and unorthodox.
Eva is a mixed race Two-Spirit genderfluid queer living with disabilities. They strive to experience their relationships through the tenets of relationship anarchy and All Our Relations. She lives on her ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas of the Credit in Head of the Lake, Treaty No. 14 territory. Pronouns: Fluid // They / Them | She / Her.
