How it works

• Format: There is no leader, no hierarchy
• Hour 1: Individuals share personal stories on a chosen topic without interruption. Participants speak for a limited time, there is no debate and the focus is on the personal experience.
• Hour 2: Identifying common themes: Once everyone has shared, the group discusses the similarities and recurring themes- this is where the personal becomes political. The group analyzes how the common experiences are tied to broader social structures, who benefits, and provides solutions in how to resist and support our communities through action.
