About this Event
Program Description
While aging is an inevitable process, we should not interpret this to mean that we do not have control over it. The age of turning back the clock on our biological calendar has arrived. Rather than looking at aging as a slow decline in physiology, we can instead see it as an accumulation of dysfunction. The greater the accumulation, the faster the aging process. Whether focused on chronic diseases, musculoskeletal injuries or acute immunological challenges, the hallmarks of aging worsen the clinical picture and slow recovery. But while our knowledge of the twelve hallmarks of aging aids the understanding of how our bodies decline, it equally opens the door for calculated interventions that give the clinician the ability to develop a true anti-aging strategy for patients.
In this program, clinicians will learn to see their patients not by their numerical age, but by their physiological age. Once established, the practitioner can then prioritize which of the twelve hallmarks of aging are most relevant to that individual, and subsequently develop an intervention strategy that focuses on personal needs. Moving from a universal anti-aging approach, we now have the ability to use personalized plans that garner greater outcomes. This rewarding approach allows the patient to see the practitioner beyond their immediate needs and develop a partnership that will literally add years to the patient’s life, and enjoyment to the practitioner’s practice.
