Conscious Touch: Exploring Body Mapping and Skin Activations for Women Overview:
Join us for a workshop designed to help you reconnect with your body through conscious touch. This event focuses on body mapping and skin activations, offering a safe space to explore touch and sensory experiences while being deeply informed by trauma-sensitive practices and somatic insights.
What to Expect:
Participants will engage in guided activities aimed at enhancing their understanding of their own bodies and the sensations they experience.
This workshop will include:
-Body Mapping: A creative exploration of the body where participants will examine their sensory experiences with different forms of touch and textures, deepening the awareness of their somatic connection to their body. As well as learning to listen to the story your body is telling through sensation.
-Skin Activations: Exploration of sensations by experimenting with safe touch and various tools to discover what your body resonates with and does not.
-Somatic Practices: Integration of body-centered techniques that promote healing through mindful connection, and co-regulation. Emphasizing the importance of consent, personal boundaries, and safety while re-learning safe touch with curiosity and play.
-Trauma-Informed Approach: The workshop will be facilitated by a trained professional who understands the complexities of trauma. Emphasis will be placed on creating a supportive environment where everyone can practice communication and boundary setting to help re-pattern the way we navigate connections with our body and others.
-Group Discussions and Sharing: A space for participants to share their experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another in a nurturing community.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is suitable for anyone seeking to explore their relationship with touch and sensory experiences in a safe and supportive setting. This workshop includes partner work, you will be giving and receiving touch under my guidance in a group setting limited to only 6 participants. You will be partially dressed, so please bring a robe or clothes that are easy to get in and out of.
