𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦 (𝐑𝐭𝐑) September Conscious Dance practice is facilitated by a guest facilitator, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐐 𝐀𝐊𝐀 𝐃𝐉 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐂𝐚𝐭, founder and resident DJ of Dance Temple Cortes, who has facilitated conscious dance throughout the islands.
ConnieQ (she/her) is gender bending, genre blending dance enthusiast, mermaid and kitty cat. A long time ecstatic dancer, influenced by 5Rhythms. Connie weaves world beats, house, trance, disco, downtempo, ambient and more into soundscapes through which dancers are beckoned to dive, fly, swim, prance, crawl and explore what arises within us in the many ways we move.

- Wear movement-friendly clothing, preferably in layers
Wheelchair-accessible space
- The space is drug-free, substance-free, scent-free, and judgment-free, and all participants are expected to respect themselves and one another
- Please share the space respectfully and check in before hugging or touching another dancer, this is a consent-based practice
- The dance floor is a nonverbal space, If you need to have a conversation, however brief, please step outside
- No street shoes on the dance floor
- Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have any flu-related symptoms.
- Please turn off your cell phone and put it away for the duration of the event

Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
