A workshop exploring the fundamentals of Jungian Dreamwork, with Jungian scholar Dr. Adrian Campbell
About this Event

The unconscious mind is a mysterious and wild place, full of wonder and wisdom, and our dreams are messages full of information to help us better understand what is going on behind the scenes of conscious thought.

Unfortunately, most dreams are confusing, erratic, or even scary. They can be hard to remember, or sometimes, hard to forget. Dream interpretation books can be helpful, unfortunately they are often too general to really help us make sense of things in an actionable way.

By learning to better understand your dreams, you will be able to work more effectively with the information from your unconscious mind, uncovering shadow elements that are holding you back, and accessing the wisdom of the collective unconscious.

In this 2hr course you will learn the fundamentals of dream work according to Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, James Hillman, and Stephen Aizenstat. We will discuss and apply the three-step process of Association, Amplification, and Animation, and then take it one step further by learning to tend to our dream images during our waking hours. It is helpful to come to class with a dream to work with, but it is not required.

The cost of this course includes a copy of Dr. Adrian’s book & dream journal “The Dreamer’s Companion”, ($19 value) which includes:

  • An introduction to the theory of the personal, cultural, and collective unconscious
  • A description of what dream images are and how they can help us in our waking lives
  • The fundamentals of creating a relationship with our dream images
  • A bit of information about special dreams like nightmares, death dreams, visitation dreams, and repeating dreams
  • A quick review of common challenges when working with dreams and a few tips
  • Introduction to the 3-steps of Jungian Dream Analysis
  • Step by step instructions on how to work your dream using Jungian dream analysis theory, including an example
  • Beautiful quotes about dreams dispersed throughout
  • Over 250 lined and blank pages for you to journal, draw, and doodle about your dreams.
