Join us at The Centre an uplifting experience with Conscious Dance!
This form of free-style dance allows you to abandon yourself to the rhythm of the music and move freely as you explore mindful, meditative movement. You will be guided through the process, leading you to a feeling of lightness and joy.
As a facilitator I will start guiding the group into a grounding state of relaxation, then gradually start the movements while DJing a specifically selected playlist with exotic and familiar music. The group will have the remaining time and space to immerse themselves in the dance. The session will end with a 10 minutes guided gradual physical relaxation.
The difference between the full Conscious Dance Experience and the Conscious dancing class, is that here, we will have more time to immerse ourselves in the experience in a party like environment, in a dimmed lighted room, where we will have art and movement projected in the wall by the video artist Michelle Brace from Unlocked Creative.
Bring your own non alcoholic drink, be prepare to dance in bare feet, and comfortable clothes.
