About this event
Drinking cacao together in a sacred ritual, where intentions are set, can unlock euphoric states, release negative emotions and connect us to ourselves and the loving energy within our body. Cacao connects us to our energetic hearts, helps open our heart space, and connects us on a deeper level to ourselves and others through the frequency of love, compassion, and joy.
Cacao is a natural stimulant, vasodilator and muscle relaxant. Helping to relax our hard-working bodies, allowing blood to flow more freely through our blood vessels and energize the nervous system.
Cacao ceremonies are a centuries-old ritual seen as the ultimate heart-opener. In addition to being packed full of vitamins and minerals, cacao increases blood flow to the brain which helps to strengthen awareness and focus. It helps the body to heal, detoxify, and give your immune system a good boost. The experience of raw chocolate can also assist in energetic healing and receiving clarity in the areas of love, purpose, intuitive abilities, career, and personal growth.
We have teamed up with Clementine Kruczynski - Educator, shamanic healer and community builder, to guide you through every step of the way - Clementine is a living library of esoteric information. Deeply engaged in a mission for change, she helps people explore and define their “personalities” at the soul level which helps them to evolve beyond their ego and transcend their fears and blocks of any one single lifetime.

Contraindications
Cacao is generally very safe. However, as with most medicines, there are a few considerations to take into account.
Pharmaceutical Contraindications - Cacao should either be consumed in smaller doses, or not be consumed at all if you are taking antidepressants, hypertension medications, or 5-HTP. Please consult your doctor to find out if it is safe for you. The MAO inhibitors and tryptophan contained in cacao may cause an intensification if combined with antidepressants. If you are on MAOI antidepressants, cacao (and all forms of chocolate) should be avoided. If you are on SSRI’s, a half-dose or smaller dose may be okay. Cacao acts as a vasodilator, which expands blood vessels and lowers blood pressure, which can intensify or interfere with hypertension medication. If you are taking 5-HTP, a smaller dose of cacao is recommended.
Medical Contraindications - If you have a serious heart condition or epilepsy, do not consume cacao without consulting your doctor. The theobromine contained in cacao may significantly increase your heart rate, placing your life in danger if you have a serious heart condition. As cacao stimulates the brain, it may cause an increase of seizures if you have a history of epilepsy.
Pregnancy and Breast-feeding - The theobromine in cacao produces a stimulating effect, similar to caffeine but more subtle. Similar to coffee, it is important to reduce or eliminate cacao when pregnant or breast-feeding. If you do choose to consume cacao, it is not recommended to consume more than 1 oz.
