About this Event
Conquer the Hill is a free community event walking up Tucson’s iconic Tumamoc Hill. We come together to represent the challenges faced along difficult journeys.
Mission:
This event brings our community together to recognize that while we all have unique challenges, we are not alone. The hill climb symbolizes the difficult journeys we face in life, whether it’s surviving domestic violence, sexual assault, healing from PTSD, homelessness, struggling with mental health issues, or simply learning to see our worth and value as individuals.
Purpose:
• To create an environment of healing, hope, and support for those who have faced trauma.
• To inspire connections that will last beyond the event—whether that’s meeting others, forming support groups, or learning about resources that can help you move forward.
• To raise $10,000 for 2-3 local non-profit organizations that provide mental health support, domestic violence resources, aid for the homeless, and more.
After the walk, we will gather post-event for light snacks and refreshments, where inspiring speakers will share their stories of overcoming adversity, provide resources, and offer hope. Our goal is to show the Tucson community that there is a brighter day ahead, and that no matter what they are facing, they can heal and help others heal as well.
