About this Event

At Connections Therapy Center, our mission is to make life easier for families and children with special needs. And, we’re looking for talent to join our growing team.

As the sister company of Alignstaffing, we specifically provide pediatric behavior therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language pathology services from infancy to adolescence.

We are currently looking for ABA Therapists, Registered Behavior Technician (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians, with high school diploma or GED, to fill positions, in the Washington, DC area.

New to the field? We are willing to provide onsite training and assistance with acquiring a nationally recognized certification.

On Monday, August 16th from 9am – 3pm, join us for an Open House to learn more about our roles, and start the application process

Open Part-time positions (10 – 28 hrs/wk)

  • ABA Therapists
  • Registered Behavioral Technicians (non-certified and certified)
  • Behavioral Technicians

Key Skills:

Experience in early childhood and autism is preferred.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Strong communications skills
  • Patient and works well with others
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:


Work with each family individually and help with all of their child’s needs: assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, therapy plans, as well as navigating insurance plans and reimbursement programs. You’ll also get to work closely with physicians and health agencies to make sure the child’s needs are being served in the most complete and comprehensive manner as possible.

RBT Job Overview


The RBT works 1:1 children who have behavioral concerns, developmental delays and/or autism spectrum disorder. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements the child’s individualized ABA therapy program.


Responsibilities:

• Attends meetings to discuss assessment results, progress, and recommendations

• Implements different modes of communication for non-verbal children such as PECS, Sign Language, and AT equipment

• Provides carry-over activities for the family

• Completes daily session notes and charges in EMR system

• Provides therapy to clients in a professional manner

• Follows Prompt procedure’s as laid out by BCBA/Lead Therapist

• Follows through with Behavior Plans

• Takes program data efficiently and accurately

• Creates materials, and follows protocol for the ABA program

• Keeps ABA program book organized and up to date

• Communicates in an articulate and professional manner with parents

• Attends department meetings when necessary

• Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

• Follows and applies specific rules and regulations, and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

• Frequently moves equipment and supplies throughout the office

• Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Register Behavior Technician Certification, preferred. Willing to provide training and reimbursement to obtain certification.

• Education:

• High school diploma or GED

• Certification


Experience:

• Working with children and adolescents with autism and/or a variety of special needs, 1 year (Preferred)

• Computer – Virtual Learning and documentation

• Drug and alcohol screening

• 10 hour minimum commitment per week
