Parents of children who have been treated at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are invited to join us join us for Connections Pediatric Cancer Caregiver Support. This in person event will be held at Maggiano's Oak Brook (240 Oak Brook Center 2, Oak Brook IL 60523). This event is free to attend, with dinner provided by A Little Lighter, a Lurie Hem/Onc/SCT nurses and nursing assistant organization. November Topic: Releasing Expectations
When our children enter this world, we are filled with hopes, dreams, and goals for their lives and the journey we will share together. However, life after a child's cancer diagnosis is emotionally complex and challenging. It is important to acknowledge our grief around dreams unfilled while also finding ways to embrace peace in the present moment. This approach can be a powerful strategy for coping and moving forward with new hopes and dreams.
This event is FREE to attend. Session content provided by Momcology. Dinner provided by fundraising from your Lurie’s Hem/Onc/SCT nurses & nursing assistants.
