Clinic description:
~ Learn about food rewards and The Art of Positive Reinforcement (R+)
~ Explore the nuances within mindful Pressure/Release ie Negative Reinforcement (R-)
~ See how these seemingly diverse methods (R+ R-) can merge seamlessly together to support the horse.
~ Learn to identify Stress Signals, Calming Signals, and the many pointers to the ‘Spaces in Between’ our horse-human connection.
~ Consider how the horse sees, hears, smells, touches ... can we begin to imagine how the horse perceives reality? And why is this SO important to the relationship?
You know the claim: “That horse spooks out of nowhere.”
... well, Nowhere is a very real place. And the Connection Clinic is all about that nowhere space.
Mustangs, Abe and Magic will be joining me again, plus a domestic horse and their human for the afternoon session.
