Connection & Belonging
11 November
14:00 - 17:30
Bedminster Quaker Meeting House
Bristol
A sense of connection and belonging are some of our most fundamental human needs. According to Brené Brown, “Connection is why we are here” and we are “wired to love, to be loved, and to belong. When [these] needs are not met, we don’t function as we were meant to. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache. We hurt others. We get sick”.
In our fast-paced and seemingly, at times, fragmented world, our sense of connection and belonging can often become clouded or lost …. Whether that’s our sense of connection and belonging to ourselves, to others, the wider community, to place and our sense of connection, belonging and place in the wider web of life.
This workshops offers an opportunity to connect, explore and replenish our sense of connection and (true) belonging by drawing on a wide range of modalities – including movement and creative expression, embodied imagination and guided reflection.
The workshop will allow time for grounding in the body, weaving a safe and supportive space, dialoguing, reflection and integration.
Suitable for anyone, no experience required.
