The Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging (SWCAA) provides unbiased, accurate information to help meet the challenges of aging and disability in the community. Federal and State funding support SWCAA’s information specialists, which in turn allows referrals based on what you need rather than who will profit. Many of SWCAA’s services are provided free or at a sliding scale.
Caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia? You could be eligible to receive up to $2700 in respite care funding (including adult daycare) through the Stand By Me GUIDE Program at Connecticut Hospice – a new Medicare-funded program offering free, personalized support to individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias—and their families.
