About this Event
Connecting Bodies: an Interdisciplinary Symposium on Body Image Research in Ireland takes place Monday 4th November 2024 at the Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI) and welcomes researchers, students, educators, clinicians and policymakers interested in body image research to join us for a day of fascinating keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Through a World Cafe group dialogue, attendees will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by experts, while voluntary Flash Talks presentations will facilitate attendees to share their research interests and interact with potential interdisciplinary partners.
Among the leading national and international experts delivering keynote addresses are Dr Elizabeth Daniels; Professor and Director of the Centre for Appearance Research at UWE Bristol, Dr Colette Kelly; Professor of Health Promotion at the University of Galway and joint Principal Investigator for Ireland in the HBSC international research network, and Dr Rachel Rodgers; Associate Professor of Applied Psychology at Northeastern University and author of over 200 journal articles and book chapters.
Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided throughout the day and registration is free.
