The Ledyard Public Library and Connecticut Sisters in Crime is proud to bring you An Author Talk Series that is sure to be a thrill! Each month this fall we’re bringing you a different, dynamic Connecticut crime writer to talk about their work.Sisters in Crime Connecticut (SinC-CT) is a community dedicated to supporting mystery authors at all stages of their careers in Connecticut and beyond. Their goal is to create a vibrant community for members through events focused on craft, the business of writing, promotional opportunities, and more.On Monday, September 23 we've got Manju Soni, Author of "Defying Apartheid".Manju Soni is a former eye surgeon turned author. She was born and grew up under apartheid in South Africa, where she was introduced to social justice issues at a young age during the Soweto Uprising student protests.
