"Contact Beyond Contact is a healing and dance modality that fuses elements of contact improv, authentic movement, Passing Through, and energy work such as yoga and chi gong. It’s primary focus is on true connection with self and a partner(s), expression, and the interplay of subtle energetics and physical touch. In a lesson we practice exercises that go beyond the physical to explore and incorporate psychosocial and energetic dynamics. The intention holding each class is to create a safe space for authentic expression and connection that integrates the body, mind, heart, and spirit and allows people to explore themselves in new and creative ways - alone and in a group dynamic."

This monthly community event in Santa Cruz is a meaningful space for deep connection. It intentionally expands beyond the dance floor to allow access to all our relational tools. You can think of this as the love child of a festival, a house party, and an ecstatic dance.
Of the three rooms in this beautiful space, one is dedicated to complimentary elixirs, tea, & cacao service where conversation is welcome and consensual cuddling is encouraged.
On top of our usual dance arc, there is always a connection-based workshop beforehand and a post-closure slow-motion set for lovers of thick bass who want to keep moving.
However fun you think this will be, multiply that by two and you'll be halfway there!
