About this Event
Welcome to the "Connect with Yourself" event!
Join us for a day of self-discovery and relaxation in the beautiful surroundings of Roundhay Park.
In this workshop we want to encourage and nurture self-compassion. By joining a group of like minded people, you will be invited to connect and ground yourself with the park around you through gently guided forest bathing invitations led by Samantha, Fleeting Fern, showing yourself self-compassion by allowing yourself to be present, slowing down and starting that journey to connect with yourself, others and nature. Once grounded and connected to yourself and environment you will be guided by Tasha, From the inside well-being, using EFT to tap into, and foster feelings of positivity and self-compassion. We will finish with final reflections, time to talk, warm drink and snack.
This is the perfect opportunity to **recharge** and **reconnect** with yourself. Don't miss out on this chance to prioritize your well-being and **nurture** your mind, body, and soul. See you there!
Shinrin Yoku, more commonly referred to as Forest Bathing, originated in Japan in the 1980s as a response to the tech- boom burnout and has since been embraced globally for its therapeutic effects. Forest Bathing means to be immersed in a forest or nature by slowing down and engaging with all of your senses to connect with yourself and the natural world around you. In a forest bathing session, your facilitator will guide you through a gentle meditation script followed by carefully composed invitations to encourage and foster a deeper connection with yourself and the natural world.

What is EFT?
Emotional freedom technique (EFT) or tapping uses the same points as acupuncture, tapping on these points helps us to clear the emotional blocks that we have and work through a range of emotions. EFT helps us to use the mind-body connection to clear the blocks we have gained throughout our lives. We have often gained these blocks from a range of experiences and by tapping while thinking about these experiences and acknowledging how it makes us feel and where we might feel this in the body we can start to work through our emotional blocks and begin to have a different response mentally and physically.
