The Southwest Michigan First Chamber is excited to bring back another way for our members to engage with one another and with our community. Connect for a Cause is about building authentic relationships while working together and having fun in service of the community we love. Our next Connect for a Cause event will be hosted by the Care Collective of Southwest Michigan.

Join us Tuesday, October 8 from 3 – 5 p.m. as we work together to sort and pack diapers of all sizes and period supplies into smaller and more discreet packaging, ready for distribution at schools and support organizations around the region.

A little info on Care Collective of Southwest Michigan

Care Collective was founded by a group of caregivers, community organizers, and nonprofit leaders who identified the need for diapers and period supplies to be available in spaces where people felt safe, welcome, and prioritized. They partner with community and grassroots organizations to ensure accessible spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and immigrant families and young people. Consistent access to diapers and period supplies for young people relieves stress and stigma for the whole family.
