L'artiste Charlie Khalil Prince nous parle de sa pratique et nous explique son processus de création en dialogue avec le cinéaste Karim Ghorayeb, suivi d'une visite commentée de son exposition, 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅, présentée jusqu’au 14 juin 2025.
Avec le cinéaste Karim Ghorayeb, Prince crée des portraits vidéo d'individus de classes sociales, d'origines religieuses et de générations différentes dans son pays d'origine, le Liban. 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 est une méditation profonde sur l'espoir et la capacité du corps à trouver la poétique qui l'habite, une poétique qui est inséparable de son sens du pouvoir et d'agentivité, quel que soit le contexte.
L'entrée est libre. Bienvenue à tous·tes. La conférence et la visite se dérouleront majoritairement en anglais mais vous pourrez poser des questions en français. Artist Charlie Khalil Prince talks about his practice and explains his creative process in dialogue with cinematographer Karim Ghorayeb, followed by a commented visit of his exhibition, 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅, on view until June 14, 2025.
Alongside film-maker Karim Ghorayeb, Prince created video portraits of individuals of varying social classes, religious backgrounds and generations in his home country of Lebanon. 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 is a profound meditation on hope and the body’s capacity to find the poetics within, one that is as inseparable from its sense of power and agency, regardless of the context.�
