About this Event
Today, 9 out of 10 churches worldwide are led by leaders who have not received adequate ministry training. That's 90 out of 100 churches! 900 out of 1,000! This is a staggering need and a tremendous opportunity.

Without adequately trained leaders, churches are open to heresies and leadership that conforms to culture, not to Christ. With adequate training, leaders are more prepared to flourish and to help their churches do the same. Overseas Council exists to meet this global leadership challenge. Join us as we discuss this urgent need and the vision to see a flourishing church, led by well-equipped local leaders, serving every city and neighborhood of the world!

This event is hosted by Norm Miller, Interstate Batteries Chairman. Our special guest speaker will be Elizabeth Sendek, President of the Biblical Seminary of Colombia.

As our guest, you will have free access to tour Museum of the Bible at your discretion from 10am to 5pm on Friday, September 17, 2021. View Museum of the Bible's website HERE.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We recommend using a taxi or the metro for the event, as parking is very limited in the area. Museum of the Bible is located within steps of the Federal Center SW metro station, which can be reached on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines. Visit www.WMATA.com for up-to-date information on the metro and buses.

If you choose to rent a vehicle, we recommend booking convenient and affordable parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation's leading parking reservations app. To reserve your parking spot, please visit spothero.com and search for parking spots near Museum of the Bible.

Where should I stay in the area?

Overseas Council has generously funded lodging for all invited guests for two nights (Sept 16 and 17) at the InterContinental – The Wharf Hotel.  To reserve your place under this reservation, please choose that option as you register for the event.  If you prefer to make other arrangements, are staying longer or for different days, please contact Rilla Springstead at [email protected] or 704-357-3355, ext 104.
